Hi my name is Ho i am Camera Doc

The F-801 (US sales name N8008) was one of Nikon's first SLRs capable of AF as an SLR camera released from 1984-1987

(To be precise, the second generation following the F-501 and F-401).

Although the focus mechanism was slow, it was an innovative performance, and it can be said that it had a great influence on the Nikon SLRs produced later. Camera model names starting with F- or N- refer to cameras produced for amateurs.

The F-801 is aimed at pros who don't like high standards and some complications.

In Korea, cameras with the AN mark or L-mark of Lumix were distributed by importing from Anam.

In 1991, the F-801S, an upgraded version of the F-801, was produced, the difference between the two is that the AF performance in the later product was slightly improved, and spot metering became possible.

The shutter speed was 1/8000 sec, which became the world's fastest, and in 1992 Minolta's 9XI held that record with a shutter speed of 1/12000.
