In addition to this, there are various commemorative models / popular models such as 35B and 35C, but the models listed above are the ones listed above that are easy to get and can truly be called cameras, not the Rolleis that are served as if they were in the Shinju complex.

The biggest difference is that for the original Rollei 35, the German version is a bit expensive, difficult to obtain, and the lens performance is better.

As expected, Germany also turned to foreign countries when its domestic production cost rose, which was Singapore in the East. In 71 years, German parts were used as they were to be produced for a short time, and for mass production, the production/assembly of parts in Singapore began in earnest.

In 1974, the S with a Sonnar lens came out, and the filter diameter increased as the lens became larger. In 76, S and T were added to the rear of the 35 to distinguish between Sonnar and Tessar lenses, and in 79, they abandoned the old needle-type exposure meter and launched SE and TE, which display exposure with LEDs respectively.

Among enthusiasts, the Special Edition model and the early German Rollei 35 are most valued, but the rest of the Rolleis also have their small body and mechanism enough to stick their tongue out. Personally, I highly recommend the one with the Sonnar lens, especially the 35SE model.

Sonnar lenses are excellent for color and Tessar lenses for black and white. In terms of build quality and mechanics, the 35SE model seems to be the best.
