In the early 1970s, Carl Zeiss formed an ambitious plan to expand the camera business in partnership with Yashikasa.

Why was Yashika chosen as a partner of a company that is about ZEISS? He will have people with doubts to do.



The answer lies in the YASHICA ELECTRO series of the 1960s.

After a tremendous success with the Electro Series in the 1960s, Yasica was named after a technical partnership with Zeiss, and his high-end model was named Contax.

The supply aircraft is named Yashika and targets each market.

Anyway, in 1975, with FX-1 and RTS1, Yashikawa Contax, or C/Y Mount, will be launched.

It has almost the same functions as the Contax 139quartz, and some accessories are compatible with the fx-d as it is. However, the build quality did not keep up with Contax as a supply period. In particular, the mirror shock was a drawback of the fx series, and in particular, due to the cheap use of leather, few bodies in the current fx series retained the original leather.


However, the fx series fit perfectly with Yashika's concept of oriented'moderate but good equipment', and it was a huge success. So, a camera came out of the cabinet of Amugae's house. But I changed the lens. Three out of ten would be Yashika's fx series.
