Son Heung-min (32) of Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League (EPL) is expected to reject a love call from a Saudi Arabian team rich in oil and enormous financial resources.

British media 'Football Insider' reported on the 27th (Korean time), "Son Heung-min will choose to renew his contract with Tottenham rather than move to Saudi Arabia. Tottenham and Son Heung-min have already begun negotiations for a contract renewal."

Son Heung-min, a man of loyalty who has been playing for Tottenham since 2015, extended his contract with the team until June 2025 in July 2021.

The Saudi league has recently been recruiting stars from major European leagues, including the EPL, with an astronomical amount of money from the sovereign wealth fund.

Rumors abounded that Son Heung-min was also consistently receiving transfer offers from a number of Saudi clubs. However, Son Heung-min is expected to remain as of now.

Son Heung-min, who received interest from some Saudi teams in last summer's transfer market, decided to stay, saying, "I still have a lot I want to achieve in the EPL."
