Hello, I recently purchased the m1 MacBook Air, and the heat seems to be worse than I expected, so I tried community inquiries, Apple service support, and even device replacement.

I accidentally discovered the cause of the fever, and I want to share this part.

The cause of the heat on the m1 MacBook Air is chrome.

Alternatives

1. Safari

I heard that Safari has improved a lot this time, so I tried to replace Chrome, but once I got used to the unfamiliar UI/UX (especially the location of bookmarks and tabs) and

The lack of extension programs made me feel a lot more uncomfortable than I thought.

Nevertheless, since it is the most specialized browser for the m1 chip, using Safari seems to have the best cooling efficiency. And since a function will be added again this fall, I often use it as a sub.

2. Neighbor Whale

What is Chromium? I was worried that Whale, which was developed based on Chrome, would have problems like Chrome.

However, as mentioned above, Safari's UI/UX is awkward, so I tested Naver Whale.

Fortunately, it maintains about 40-50 degrees even after using it for a long time with dual monitors.

Personally, I liked the UI/UX much better for work than Safari. (In Safari, Google Sheets, Docs, etc. are not saved as bookmarks.)

And Whale has a lot of features that consider user convenience than expected.

I especially liked the feature using the sidebar.
